This is not a hotel, it is a disaster, we left after the first night and didn’t care that we had already paid for 6 nights. Booking .com should remove this hotel from their listings. The whole set up is like a haunted house, the furniture is falling apart and very old, the whole place smells, the sheets weren't clean and the beds had bugs, the blinds were taped to the wall and couldn't be opened, and the list can go on and on. For the price we paid it is a total rip off. We could hardly sleep, and in the morning we ran away as fast as we can, what a disaster of a place.
My suitcase went missing(thanks to a cab driver!) the hotel staff and people from the resturant below couldn't have been more helpful
Convenience to mt vernon; parking lot.
Couldn't get the shower to work, had to take baths in the hottest weather of the season! As much as I pulled, poked, pushed---no water emerged from the shower head. You need to publish the secret somewhere!
Travellers should know there is no manager on the premises. Guests are given a keycode to enter building and pickup room key in an envelope on a table. Innkeeper arrives in the morning to serve breakfast and receive payment. I had several issues with my room, including my key only working in door after spending several minutes jiggling it in the lock. The owner of the attached restaurant, unaffiliated with the inn, seemed to be familiar with guests approaching him with problems.
-Nice staff (2 people) -Location was convenient to downtown -Fair price for last minute booking on New Years Eve
-Cash Only (called by staff the day before checking in that the credit card machine was "broken") -Leak in bathroom coming from floor above -Fire Alarm battery was dying/ringing upon arrival -Large quantity of dust on dresser near fire alarm battery
